The 2010-2011 Choir Season is Beginning !

The OLV School Choir is looking for excited, energetic, committed students to be a part of this special group.  You don’t have to be a soloist – just have a desire to sing with others and make great music.  Anyone in 5^th, 6^th, 7^th or 8^th grade may be in choir.  Cheerleaders, Pep Squad members, and members of all other school sports have been choir members.  If you are interested in being a member of this great group, please give this note to your parents, have them sign the bottom, and return it to the folder outside the music room by  Friday, September 10^th.

Parents and Students,

Our school choir is has a commitment to quality music.  Just like anything in life, it takes practice and perseverance to be the best.  Each and every student is a valued member of the choir and thus it is vital that members be at all rehearsals.  We meet Tuesdays after school until 4:45pm.  Parents, please inform me in writing if a student has to leave early or will be absent.

The choir will begin rehearsal on

Tuesday,   Sept 28^th at 3:35pm.

Performances are held in both Fall and Spring semesters. Below are some of the dates we will be singing.  Others will be added. Please mark your calendars now.  More information will come at a later date. 

            FALL SEMESTER:

            ASM (All School Mass) First Fridays and certain Holy Days-, 10/1, 11/5, 12/3, 12/8

              C hristmas Performances in town & at assisted living/nursing homes during school day

               Victoria Mall – TBD in December – evening performance

                School Assembly – Fri. Dec.17^th

                        Christmas Eve 5:00pm Mass – 12/24/10

            SPRING SEMESTER:

            PTC Meeting -TBD

                 2^nd Grade 1^st Communion – 2/19/11

                 Blinn Choral Festival and Contest- March 2011

                 8^th Grade Graduation-5/26/11
