End of the Year Activities
for 8th Grade
Tuesday, May 6th Science Field Trip
We leave by bus in the morning and return before school is out.
Bring a sack lunch and drink.
Wednesday, May 7th May Crowning
8:00 A.M.
May Court should be dressed modestly and in
the Cathedral by 7:40 A.M.
Friday, May 9th NJHS Induction
1:15 P.M.
The ceremony will be in the gymnasium.
The 8th grade classes will attend and then
return to classes after the ceremony.
Participants will stay for the reception.
Tuesday, May 13th Jr. High Bake Sale
Don't Forget!!!
Jr. High will be having a Bake Sale Tuesday! Please bring 2 dozen cookies, brownies, or cupcakesto sell to the Student Body.We need everyone's participation to make this a success for our school.- Student Council
Monday, May 19th PTC 8th gr. Dinner
The dinner will be in the cafeteria, starting at 6:30 P.M.
Dress is casual dressy. NO shorts or old bluejeans.
Parents drop students off and pick them up between
8:00 and 8:30 P.M.
Thursday, May 22nd Splashway!
Students leave by bus @ 8:00 A.M. and return around 4:00 P.M.
ALL students must wear a shirt and shorts on the bus- No exposed
bathingsuits! Bring a towel, suntan lotion, and an extra T-shirt. Everyone is
expected to wear dry shorts and a T-shirt on the ride home.
Girls must wear tank tops if their bathing suit is a two-piece.
A menu and prices will be sent home for your information.
Parents attending must prepay in the school office ahead
of time to go in with us, or else, pay at the door with the public.
Monday, May 26th Memorial Holiday
No school!
Wednesday, May 28th Picnic Day
Free dress- T-shirt and shorts (no short shorts!)
12:30 P.M. dismissal
Wednesday, May 28th 8th gr. Graduation & Dance
BE in Room 101 (2nd gr.) at 6:30 P.M.!!!
Appropriate, modest dress- shoulders covered!
Plan to stay for pictures of awards, class photo, etc.
Reception in the cafeteria is for the family, then the students
stay for their dance in the same place.
Dance is over at 11:00 P.M.
Please encourage your student to help with clean up!
Friday, May 30 All School Mass
Wear your graduation outfit or church uniform.
Dismissal is at 9:30 A.M.
