Last year we had tons of fun activities for the students in grades 1st - 8th on our picnic day. This year we are planning even more fun things for May 28th. However, we needs lots of parents to help us with the various activities. We will need people to help with set-up in the early morning hours and before the activities begin, as well as people to work the game booths. |
Another hard job is the clean-up, and we need lots of help for that also. There will be lots of games and food for all. We are looking for canopy tents to use for shade that day - if you have one, please help us set it up that morning or drop it by the school the day before. We also could use some generators. It will be a fun day for all--please volunteer to help!!

Each year select 7th graders are given the opportunity to take the college entrance SAT or ACT test as part of the Duke University's Talent ID Program. The twelve students from our school who qualified were Taylor A., Katie B., Chris C., Kayla H., Kristin J., Kristen J., Hannah K., Aaron K., Elizabeth N., Ahmad S., Andrew S., and Amber W. We are proud of all of our qualifiers, and the test scores of Kayla, Kristen and Ahmad qualified them for state recognition. Congratulations to Ahmad whose scores qualified him for Grand Recognition.

After 23 years of dedication to OLV,
we are sorry to see our 4K aide, Mrs. Almendarez, retire. Many of the alumni fondly remember her as "Miss Tuesday". She has always been a loving, strong supporter of Catholic education and has touched many young hearts throughout the years.
