Jump Rope for Heart WinnersLent During this season of Lent, please make time for your family to attend the sacrament of Reconciliation. Although the school provides the chance for the students to go to Reconciliation, it is first, and primarily, up to the parents to foster the sacramental life of their child. One of the most important activities a family can do is attend Lenten services together and take part in the Sacraments. Parents should set the example for their children. Please check the church bulletin or www.olvcathedral.org for services and times.Lenten Fish FryThe OLV Youth Ministry Fish Fry will be held on March 5th and March 26th. The menu consists of catfish, hushpuppies, cole slaw, green beans, garlic bread and tea. The cost is $6.50 for either dining in the cafeteria or take out. Serving times will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Thank you for your support of this ministry. Bernhard Wins Victoria County Spelling Bee

In addition to the funds received for these, we have earned full juice pouches for two reward parties. Effective immediately, we are also accepting chip bags and cookie bags. The chip bags can be any size and any brand and can be deposited in the juice pouch containers. Remember that we have juice pouch containers in ECC, 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade classrooms, and in the cafeteria.
Scrip Update
Your support for the Scrip program has been very positive. We had several new participants before the holidays. To offer enticement to continue to expand the program, we will be having a contest in the near future. Each students will have an opportunity to win a free dress day, and each participating family will have the opportunity to win free cards. More information will be coming home with students very soon. Also, we are trying to work out a schedule to make it easier to purchase cards after school. Keep an eye out for us!
