Lent

lentDuring this season of Lent, please make time for your family to attend the sacrament of Reconciliation.  Although the school provides the chance for the students to go to Reconciliation, it is first, and primarily, up to the parents to foster the sacramental life of their child.  One of the most important activities a family can do is attend Lenten services together and take part in the Sacraments.  Parents should set the example for their children.  Please check the church bulletin or www.olvcathedral.org for services and times.

Construction on Laurent St.

arrow3***PLEASE NOTE CHANGES!!
As of January 11, the city will begin working on Laurent St.  The flow of traffic can only go north.  Please look for the bright colored note that went home with students on Jan. 7th which includes a parking lot diagram.  In order to facilitate the flow of traffic we are asking all families to follow these procedures until our next notice.  If you choose not to follow the procedures set out, the traffic flow will be atrocious.  We realize that it will be inconvenient for a while but hopefully the official drop-off and pick-up place in the new property will be completed in a couple of months.

Please follow this schedule for now:

- Early Childhood and 1st grade parents will use Mesquite parking lot for drop-off and pick-up.

- Students in grades 2nd-4th will use the Laurent parking lot for drop-off and pick-up.

- Students in grades 5th-8th will use the parking lot on the new property.  At the 5th-8th grade drop-off and pick-up lot, parents cannot park.  These students can only be dropped off or picked up.  We will use the same procedure for drop-off and pick-up that we use in the Laurent parking lot with the exception of having 2 lines instead of 3.

Families who have children in multiple grades will use the parking lot pick up and drop off of the youngest child.

Again we ask that you follow these procedures for now.  Thank you for your cooperation as we try to make your children as safe as possible.
